Course Description:

3.5 day IOSH-approved training workshop.


Managing Safely is designed for managers, supervisors and anyone who has health and safety responsibilities. You must be appointed in a health and safety role to support your Department achieve T100 or T100 Lite.

This intensive 3.5 day course, approved by the Institution of Occupational Safety (IOSH), provides a broad-based understanding of both the legislative requirements and management tools and techniques.

Managing Safely has been developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) the world's biggest professional health and safety membership organisation to address the safety and training needs of the non-health and safety expert.

  • Assessing risks
  • Controlling risks
  • Understanding responsibilities
  • Understanding hazards
  • Investigating incidents
  • Measuring performance

    Assessment:
    A 25-question multi-choice exam and preparing a work-based risk assessment.
    Upon successful completion, you will earn a IOSH Managing Safely certificate, recognised globally.

    By the end of the course the Learners will be able to:


  • Gain an understanding of the principal legislative requirements.
  • Be able to apply management practices to health and safety at work.
  • Know how to set practicable objectives and implement plans to meet them.
  • Recognise common health and safety hazards and types of risk controls available.
  • Understand the principles of risk assessment.
  • Be able to investigate an incident to determine causes and remedial actions.
