Once you enrol on this course, you will receive email instructions on how to access the eLearning provided by Gas Safe Consultants and receive a unique Oxy Fuel Gases code. Emails are issued on the Wednesday following your enrolment but if you need to complete this training urgently, please email safetytraining@ucl.ac.uk and we will endeavour to issue the email earlier.

Objectives: This online training workshop is for individuals who use oxy-fuel gas cylinders for a variety of purposes including cutting, burning, heating, brazing and welding. It covers oxy-acetylene and oxy-propane, plus many other gases typically used in an industrial environment.
The online training provides information on the safe use, handling and storage of oxy-fuel gas cylinders and associated equipment, including an optional module covering the operation of fixed gas supply manifold systems.
It is a comprehensive online workshop, the average total completion time is 2 hours and 20 minutes, which does not have to be completed in a single sitting as learners can log in and out of the training at their convenience.
Learners are tested by means of a quiz at the end of each module within the online training workshop. A minimum pass rate is required in order to receive certification. |
Intended Audience: All staff and postgraduate students who either use or supervise others who work with oxy fuel gases. Please note this course is not for Undergraduates. |
